September 23-25th, 2025

Event Overview

The SWIFT Conference & Expo returned to Vancouver in September with the highest ever recorded attendance for a ‘non-equipment’ year. The 2024 ‘Better Together | Working Together’ theme is at the heart of all things SWIFT as the airport community join together to exchange solutions to common challenges and explore new ideas.

SWIFT 2025, hosted by Toronto Pearson Airport, takes place at the Sheraton Fallsview Hotel in Niagara Falls. Registration will open in March but for information on sponsoring or exhibiting, we recommend getting in touch now as expo space is likely to sell out again.

The SWIFT Conference and Expo, officially known as the Summer Winter Integrated Field Technologies Conference, is a premier event focused on airfield operations and maintenance, primarily for the airport community. It brings together airside experts, airport management, engineers, and vendors from North America and Europe to address critical challenges in the aviation industry. The conference covers topics such as:

  • Airport Pavement Design and Maintenance: Discussions on advanced pavement technologies, construction, evaluation, and maintenance techniques for runways, taxiways, and aprons.
  • Airfield Operations and Safety: Sessions on safety management, regulatory changes, and operational efficiency, including topics like foreign object debris (FOD) management, wildlife control, and vertiports.
  • Winter Operations: Strategies for snow removal, ice control, and managing airside operations in challenging weather conditions, particularly relevant for regional airports.
  • Sustainability and Innovation: Focus on sustainable airport operations, integrating new technologies, and addressing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) trends.
  • Networking and Technology Showcase: The expo features supplier booths and live demonstrations of airfield equipment, allowing attendees to explore innovative products and services.

Hosted by major airports like Toronto Pearson and Vancouver International Airport, the event fosters collaboration between large hubs and regional airports, often in partnership with organizations like the Canadian Airfield Pavement Technical Group (CAPTG), Regional Community Airports of Canada (RCAC), and British Columbia Aviation Council (BCAC). The 2024 event in Vancouver saw record attendance, and the 2025 edition is set for September 23-25 in Niagara Falls, Canada, hosted by Toronto Pearson International Airport.
