Having made the difficult decision to postpone the 2020 event, SWIFT, the industry’s premier airfield conference has confirmed that the 2021 show will go on – but with a new twist, says Roy McLeod: ‘On behalf of your SWIFT Committee, we are pleased to have partnered with UK aviation events specialists Aviation Events Group, to bring you an alternative conference format, delivering the same high-quality content you expect from SWIFT.
‘Reformatted and re-branded ‘SWIFT SEPTEMBER’, the conference will run as eight virtual sessions over four consecutive Wednesdays: 8th, 15th 22nd, and 29th September. Each Wednesday is split into two, bite-sized, 90-minute sessions covering all aspects of airfield operations and best practices. SWIFT’s long-term association with CAPTG means that delegates can still explore technological developments in the design, construction evaluation, and maintenance of pavements within this new, fresh format.’
Operations Director Andrew Organ of Aviation Events Group comments ’SWIFT has always been known for sharing engaging, up-to-the-minute content with an extensive range of airports, airlines, regulators, and suppliers. We are delighted to have this opportunity to support the show, and to provide a fresh route for the many loyal attendees to get together by bringing SWIFT directly to them.’
Neil Pritchard, SWIFT Advisory Committee member: ‘I joined, and continue to commit to, SWIFT because of the wealth of knowledge and industry experience amongst delegates. Willingness to learn and to share best practices has always been the driving value. We can now continue this tradition knowing that SWIFT and CAPTG always produce relevant, forward-thinking content with fantastic speakers. This is essential at a time when the industry is going through so much change and uncertainty. To be able to facilitate this with an experienced partner in the virtual world will ensure the value and spirit remains for loyal SWIFT members. It also provides an opportunity to bring the fantastic SWIFT experience directly to others who may not have been able to attend. Many in the industry will welcome this move in a time when budgets and travel are restricted’
Each of the eight sessions has unique sponsorship opportunities and initial inquiries should be directed to Aviation Events Group’s Operations Director: Andrew.Organ@AviationEventsGroup.com
